The 50 Mexican Pesos coin is an investment coin.

The denomination of the coin is 50 Pesos. It was struk in 1921, 1931 and from 1944 until 1947.

Its diameter is 37mm which makes it one of the largest coins available in the market. It contains 90% of gold and 10% of copper, which an advantage as it is more resistant to scratches.

The obverse of the coin shows a picture of “the Victory of Samothrace” (Angel of Independence) with a laurel crown in its right hand and a broken chain in its left. The back of the observe shows two volcanoes (Popocatepetl et Iztaccíhuatl).

The reverse features the coat of arms showing the Winged Victory perched on a cactus with a snake in his nozzle. The writings "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" means The United States of Mexico and is placed above the Eagle.
